The Bitter Side to Infidelity by Miss Know It All
![]() |
| Miss Know It All |
The Urban Dictionary defines ‘micro-cheating’ as behaviors considered disloyal within a relationship, nothing too serious but not too innocent either. It can be frequent flirting, touching, calling, texting, chatting, or asking someone for intimate advice, all hidden from your partner.
However, when it comes to marriage, where there is physical cheating, the signs can be obvious, but as to whether your partner is micro-cheating, the messages may be vague. Moreover, if you decide to stay with that person there is no telling how that marriage will sustain itself. Many experts will recommend marriage counseling. Unfortunately, in countless cases, the damage has been done and no amount of advice will save that marriage.
Just one month after giving birth to their son, a popular talk show host revealed how she discovered her spouse was cheating on her. What tipped her off was a late-night phone call. She overheard her husband talking to another woman, who eventually became pregnant. The host’s husband even purchased an abode for the mistress and their child, but later added that the host and her husband moved on from the incident stronger than before.
In hindsight, the host stated that she never would have believed that someone as successful as she would have stayed with a cheater, and says she does not regret staying with him for over twenty years when enough was enough.
Remaining with a person who has committed infidelity in a marriage is a personal choice. However, as most people, who have faced a betrayal(s) in their marriage, will state, “Once a cheater, always a cheater, and generally, the marriage doesn’t get any better if you decide to remain in that union.”

When it comes to Other People’s love Life, Mind Your Own Business by Miss Know It All
![]() |
| Miss Know It All |
I am addicted to soap operas. There is plenty of cheating
going on that would make your head spin faster than a Spindle Top toy. It is
art imitating life. When you see two characters that are not in a relationship
and are supposed to be committed to someone else lip-locking, the witness will
conclude a kiss is not always just a kiss. He or she will become suspicious and
now it is time for that person to take action, either keeping the affair to
one’s self or spilling the beans.
What I find amusing, on some of these soaps, is how
friends and relatives react when someone close to them is caught deep-kissing
or doing someone else’s man or woman. Or worse, the person observing the
duplicity will become the judge, jury, and executioner; he or she will make a
quick dash to tell the injured party what they saw and give some unsolicited
advice.
In real life, many men and women cheat for reasons they
can’t even understand, but if I have learned anything when it comes to other
people’s love life, it is best to mind your own business. Never mind that
slogan, “If you see something, say something.” That phrase applies to someone
who is planning to obliterate the world. If you insist on being the bearer of
bad news, you will wind up getting your feelings hurt, or the injured party may
end up hating you for bringing that disloyalty to his or her attention.
Usually, the person who is being betrayed has an inkling
their significant other is engaging in deceit. Some folks prefer to turn a
blind eye until the treachery slaps them in the face. You can be a good
listener, but if they ask for your honest opinion, say, “Follow your heart.”

You Can Never Buy a Man’s Love by Vivienne Diane Neal
Women
who have invested so much money into a relationship sometimes turn a blind eye
when a man is no longer interested in pursuing that bond. This is not to say
that women are the only ones who suffer from this syndrome. Men also have a
tendency to want to continue a relationship that has seen its days. But we are
talking mainly about some women since they seem to want to hold on to a
relationship that is no longer working.
A
woman should never support a man financially who refuses to bring something to
the table or add something of value to her life, just for the sake of saying,
“I have a man in my life.” If you choose
to buy a man’s affection when there is no reciprocation on his end, then the
union is doom to fail.
Take
the following scenario: A woman has just met a man at a social event. To
her it is love at first sight, and she wants this man, no matter the cost. After
knowing him for only two weeks, she buys him a cell phone. One month later, she co-signs for him to buy
a car. Two months later, he leaves her, but she doesn’t realize that he never
really wanted her as much as she wanted him. He read her like an ATM. The
operative word is wanted. She wanted him to the point where she was
willing to buy his love, thinking the relationship would last indefinitely but
that was never his intentions. Now he has disappeared, and she is left paying
off that loan and decides to take him to small claims court, but the blow is that
she still wants to pursue the relationship even though he insists the cell
phone and the car were gifts. “I didn’t ask for those items; she gave them to
me. We were never lovers, we were just friends.” Of course it never occurred to
him to just say “No.” A real man would have said, “When I save enough money, I
will buy my cell phone and car.” What makes this even more heartbreaking is
that he has moved on to the next desperate female who will fall right into his
trap.
There
are many, many stories like this one and lessons to be learned: When you meet
someone, take your time before jumping into a relationship; study that
individual’s deeds and true intentions. Does he share the same values and
aspirations as you do. Is he financially secured, has good credit and has worked
longer than just two months. You will never really get to know someone at the
drop of hatpin. Think before giving yourself or your money away. Desperation
not only leads to a bankrupt relationship but can also leave you financially in
the hole for years to come.

Engaging in a Secret Affair - Right or Wrong? By Miss Know It All
![]() |
| Miss Know It All |
A poster on one of the social networks, of which I
am member, had asked the following question: My friend is planning a secret affair and wanted my advice. What is the
best way to conduct a secret affair? Are there any good tips to avoid getting
caught, like hiding text messages, apps and emails, etc? I said, “Get another
secret pay as you go phone.” Do you have any other ideas?
Anonymous
When I read the question, I made the following comment:
“Once two people participate in an affair, it's no longer a secret” and left it
at that. But I was stunned by some of the comments posted, which have been
paraphrased for clarity:
Your wife
or girlfriend will always find out. We women just have a way of finding out
about secret affairs. Now that does not mean every women will not accept her
husband for having a secret affair, if she is having the same too.
The best
way to keep an affair a secret is to always meet at a hotel in another city, at
least 100-miles from your home. But in today’s world, with everyone using the
same DAMN iPhone, it becomes very hard to keep your calls and messages a secret.
I think
meeting in different places, and a secret mobile phone kept in the car. Tell
nobody about it, although best friends can cover. 100 miles mean more time away;
so that might not work. With an iPhone, it is best to switch off GPS . What
about smelling of perfume?
Well, if
she or he gets a whiff of the secret mobile phone kept in the car, then that is
the ultimate giveaway.
Don't
know, I’m asking how to cover your tracks.
The best way to have a secret affair is in your head! The
truth always comes out, as one lie always leads to the next and bigger lie,
until it all gets exposed. Since there is more technology to use, it also
leaves more evidence to be discovered. When a woman wants to find out, she will...
and she will pick up on the slightest bit of guilt your friend may have. Any
change in his ways, she will pick up on. Women have a way to sniff stuff out...it’s
a gift.
Now mind you, I am not one to judge anyone who decides
to cheat on their spouse, because what is done in the dark will sooner or later
come to light, which may have dire consequences.
We would like to know what your take is on the question,
and how would you answer this person if the question was put to you? Post your
answers in the comment box.

When Romance Does Not End Happily Ever After
You are searching for love, romance or a
lifetime partner; you are happy because you have finally met the love of your
life. You believe you have found true love and happiness, and you become
romantically involved with that person. The relationship is going great; love
has gotten a hold on you, and you are now ready to take that liaison to the next
step by committing yourself to that individual, but somewhere down the road, you
learn that a heartless pretender has played a cruel joke on you.
When you read romance novels, the
endings are supposed to end happily ever after or blissfully for now. In the
real world, these endings do not always come into fruition and can sometimes lead
to a broken heart and an empty bank account.
Some folks will use love and romance as
embellishments to destroy lives and leave love-stricken men and women in a state
of shock, bewilderment and anger. This is what happens in Shades of Deception, Malicious Acts and Wicked
Intent. These fictional short stories center on diverse men and women who in their speedy
search for love, romance and bliss become the victims of appalling acts.
There are no
heroes or sheroes in these tales. The characters in these anecdotes are left
devastated by the people they loved and trusted with their heart and soul. Now they
must rebuild their lives. The only people who live happily ever after are the
villains who accomplish their sinister objectives.
If you enjoy
crime stories mixed with deception, hoaxes, lust, sex, romance, scandal and
revenge, then check out these books, because the next time you meet a potential
mate, you will want to look at him or her with your eyes wide opened.

Excerpt from The Woman Behind the Red Curtains, one of ten short stories from Shades of Deception:
People in the neighborhood were fascinated with the house on the corner, which had been unoccupied for three years. The property, with its strange past and lingering questions, had neighbors speculating as to what really happened to the couple who once lived there. Rumor had it that Mr. and Mrs. Awa were celebrating their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary on a hot summer night. One hundred guests attended the gala, and one of the invitees was an alluring young woman. Her stunning features captivated most of the men at the party, and Mr. Awa had fallen for the enticement. She was twenty-three; he was fifty. They started to talk, and before anyone knew it, the two snuck off to the basement and went at it like a heifer and a bull in heated passion. She had such a grip on him that the lovemaking lasted for almost two hours. He never experienced this type of fulfillment, not even with his wife, who never missed him because she was busy attending to their guests. Being in a state of erotic bliss, he was ready to leave his spouse and live merrily ever after with the young female. Almost losing track of time, the husband rushed back to his wife and company. Ten minutes later, the young woman followed like a silkworm coming out of her cocoon. When the party was over, the husband announced to his wife that he no longer loved her, wanted a divorce and was gone the next day. One week later, his wife vanished. It was a mystery as to where the couple went. Many surmised that the wife might have done away with her husband, or he might have run off with his young lover. Since the couple only lived in the house for five years and kept to themselves, neighbors never got to know them. The duo would never speak to anyone and would spend weekends at Martha’s Vineyard, where most of their friends lived. The Awas were a strange match in heaven, to say the least. People would refer to them as the creepy crawler twosome, because they would sneak out of their house to avoid running into the neighbors.
The one hundred year old Victorian style single-family house was located in Central Brooklyn, New York, a thriving village made up of professionals, artists, retirees and business owners. Built in 1901, the 4,090 square feet three-story property had 9 furnished bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 2 total full baths, 1 total half bath, and a finished basement. There were carpet, marble, and linoleum floors, a spacious kitchen with a refrigerator and stove, an open dining area, and an airy living room where an imported crystal chandelier hanged. What made the home even more distinctive were its hardwood floors, decorative stairs, multi-colored walls, patterned ceilings and its steep roofing. Throughout the house were Victorian and modern furnishings, African and Native-American paintings, and exquisitely handcrafted treasures from every corner of the world. It was never quite clear who owned the house. The neighbors assumed the couple was the rightful title-holders, but when they disappeared, several people showed an interest in buying the property, but when individuals did a title search, there were too many roadblocks. Therefore, interested parties never proceeded with the purchase. In 2003, the house was valued at $500K. Three years later, the asking price would probably be close to $700K. Nevertheless, as time went by, folks lost interest in the house and the odd couple, but soon that would all change. A storm was about to pass through, and if the community was lacking in new chitchat, they were about to be hit with the biggest scandal that would make a soap opera look like child’s play.

Telltale Signs of a Cheating Spouse by Miss Know It All
Whenever a spouse is cheating, that individual will always send out signals or may say something that might not mean very much at the time, especially if he or she is caught in a compromising situation. Because you believe your relationship is built on trust, you will give your mate the benefit of the doubt. Too often, the signs of cheating are so obvious that a bat could read between the lines, and the explanations given are so ludicrous that they defy logic. One would have to ask, “Does this person really think that I am stuck on stupid?” Yet, many will continue to ignore the ‘in your face’ warnings. Eventually, a spouse will have to face reality and ask, “Is there infidelity going on in our marriage?” Although unfaithfulness occurs on both sides, we are focusing mainly on cheating husbands who have used some of the most dumbfounded excuses to mask their betrayal: “Honey, I am going fishing with my buddies this weekend.” Ordinarily that might not be a problem, but why would he choose to go fishing on the day of your birthday or worse on your wedding anniversary. Some individuals might say, “Give the guy a break; most men have a temporary lapse of memory when it comes to important dates.” However, if a woman never forgets, why would a man fail to remember such an important day?
You find condoms in the glove compartment of your husband’s car. You and your mate never use condoms. His explanation is that the condoms belong to his male friend, and he is just holding them as a favor. The question to ask, “Would a woman carry her friend’s diaphragm or cervical cap as an act of kindness.”
You find a pair of panties in the back seat of your husband’s car; he tells you they are your gift for Valentine’s Day. The problem is, the panties are a size 5, but you wear a size 16. In addition, nowhere on the label does it indicate that one size five fits all.
Your husband is served with child support papers and you never knew he had an offspring. His response is, “We were separated during that period, but you were still legally married.
You find a shoebox hidden in the basement. In that box are risqué photos of him posing nude with another woman. You confront him, and his response is, “That is not me baby.” You say, “It is you.” He says, “Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?” When he makes that remark, he has a great big grin on his face.
It is late at night, and you wake up to noises coming from the living room. You go down stairs to check and catch your husband doing a horizontal dance with a strange woman. He looks up and says, “Honey, it is just a dream. Go back to sleep.”
