How Social Media Can End Relationships by Miss Know It All

Miss Know It All

Years ago, I was watching a program where the host asked a celebrity, “What was the secret to his long marriage.” His answer was simple, “Stay Off Talk Shows.”

Talk shows gave viewers a glimpse into the personal lives of famous and not so well-known people. And selected guests did not think twice when it came to airing their dirty laundry on TV. As a result, relationships ended because people just could not keep what goes on in their boudoir behind locked doors.

How times have changed when it came to the arrival of the Internet, which can be a positive platform for promoting good relationships. But there is a darker side when people become careless and lax about what they will say online without realizing the consequences by using social media to comment on their personal escapades. It is not just celebrities who broadcast their various exploits, but ordinary folks who believe it is okay to share their activities and advice to the entire world.

Remember, what you put on social media stays there endlessly. Always think before you expose the latest about your relationship because once you say something, you will never be able to take it back.

It's Only a Date by Vivienne Diane Neal

When you meet someone on a dating app or in person, sparks may fly. You have only known that person for a split second and decide to go on your first date and see that date as an invitation into forming an immediate romantic relationship, without ever allowing yourself time to get to know that person.

Women often talk about the men they keep meeting on various dating apps. When these men take them out to dinner on the first date and foot the bill, they automatically assume that a relationship is about to grow. It was not a date but a footpath to a one-night stand. Most women cannot understand why they keep attracting these frame of mind men. And this is where examining the men’s personal profiles is extremely important.

When a man is just seeking a sexual encounter, a friend with benefits or just a one-night stand, somewhere in his personal profile, he will let it be known. But if you are not interested in a sexual relationship early on, then you must be forthright and let the man know what you will or will not do on a first date.

Now when you decide to compose an online profile, there are key words which you can use as a guide to help you weed out those just looking-for-sex. Mention what type of relationship you are interested in and be honest. If you are seeking a friendship, a long or short-term relationship, a marriage-minded person, a life-time partner, or an activity partner without the sex, then say so. You want to make a first-rate impression and catch the attention of the kind of person you are interested in attracting, or the one who will ascribe to the same attributes and interests that you are seeking. These words can include give, describe, mention, highlight, inform, be and when. Of course, you may come up with other terms to help create an appealing summary of yourself, a summary that won’t say, “I am only interested in a sexual relationship.”

Finding the right person on dating apps can be daunting but using common sense when searching through profiles and reading between the lines will save you disappointments on that first date. Of course, you can always go Dutch treat. This way there will be no misunderstandings or soaring expectations from the man’s end.

Will A Robot Be Your Next Date? By Miss Know It All

Miss Know It All

The idea of robots or AI (Artificial Intelligence) being someone's date is a captivating and an intricate topic. As AI technology progresses, it is possible that AI companions could provide meaningful companionship, emotional support, and even simulate romantic interactions. In fact, there are already examples of AI chatbots. Chatbots simulate human conversations and offer companionship and emotional support to users.

However, sincere human relationships are built on mutual understanding, shared experiences, and emotional depth. While AI can mimic several aspects of these interactions, it lacks true emotions and consciousness. So, while AI can be a supportive and engaging companion, it may never fully replace the unique and profound connections that humans can form with each other.

What do you think about the idea of AI companions in romantic roles? Please, leave your comments below.
