When a Man is Not into You by Vivienne Diane Neal

I enjoy watching true TV court cases. In the past I have authored articles on what to look for when you meet a man online. Well, I thought I had heard it all, but you can always learn something new every day.

A woman met a man online. They dated for three months. She wanted to celebrate their 3 months together by planning a lovely dinner and a stay at a hotel and wanted her date to pay for half. As it turns out, he told the judge he did not agree to pay half. So, to get out of the celebration, he faked his death. Yes, that is what I said, “He Faked his own death.”

After going through emotional turmoil and grieving for his death, the woman discovered seven months later that he was on social media with a woman who had two children; the children were not his. She decided to sue him for emotional suffering, resulting from her state after thinking he had died from a swimming accident that his cousin recommended.

The plaintiff lost her case because there was no agreement made that he would pay half for the celebration. So, the judge ruled in favor of the defendant.

How dating has changed. When money is involved, you must put your dating plans in writing and have both parties sign the agreement. When I was dating, if a man did not want to pay full price or half for a date, he would not show up. You would get the message then that he was not really into you. ©

What mistakes do you believe the woman made while dating this man? Please leave your comments below. Thank you.
