Why Having a Paternity Test Done When You are Accused of Being the Father of a Child by Vivienne Diane Neal

Photo by Anna Shvets from Pexels

I was watching a TV court case where a 28-year-old man was suing a 40-year-old woman who accused him of being the father of her child. Because he used protection and did not believe the child was his, he was asking for $3500 for emotional distress, because they had a one-night stand and he was not interested in building a relationship with this woman. She believed that the two would have a growing and loving relationship and would eventually become a family. His idea was to hit it and quit it and started to ghost her.

Suddenly, an image of the woman posing with a baby appearing on a social media was seen by a friend of the young man and informed him that the child looked exactly like him. She informed him that he was the father but to him that was impossible since he used protection.

After having sex with the woman in her home, he threw the used condom into the wastebasket and left. But little did he know, the woman, who was desperate to have a baby, removed the prophylactic from the trash, and with a hypodermic needle injected the semen into her body.

The court was able to get the DNA results, and it was discovered that the young man was not the father. He was awarded the money for his emotional pain.

There are lessons to be learned from this case:

  • Never leave a used condom in someone else’s home; flush it down the toilet bowl or take it with you and discard it in your place of residence.
  • Condoms can break and may result in an unwanted pregnancy.
  • Using a used condom without the man’s permission is not a crime in most U.S. states, but it can lead to a civil suit and may be illegal in certain districts.
  • Before you engage in sex with someone you hardly know, or you are not serious about forming a committed and loving relationship that involves having a child, or you are only just seeking a one-night stand, be honest with yourself and the person you are having an intimate encounter with to avoid any misunderstandings that can lead you to becoming a plaintiff or a defendant in a court case.

The Art of Enjoyable Lovemaking: A Journey to Intimacy and Connection

Lovemaking is an intimate expression of affection that transcends mere physical interaction, weaving together emotional, mental, and spiritual threads to create a tapestry of connection between partners. Enjoyable lovemaking is not only about physical pleasure but also about deepening the bond and understanding between two people. Here’s how couples can enhance their intimate experiences and cultivate a fulfilling love life.

Communication is Key

Open and honest communication is the cornerstone of enjoyable lovemaking. Partners should feel comfortable discussing their desires, boundaries, and fantasies. This dialogue fosters trust and ensures that both individuals feel respected and understood. Regular conversations about intimacy can help partners navigate their evolving needs and preferences, leading to more satisfying experiences.

Prioritize Emotional Connection

Emotional intimacy is as crucial as physical intimacy. Spending quality time together outside the bedroom, sharing experiences, and nurturing emotional bonds can significantly enhance the quality of lovemaking. When partners feel emotionally connected, it translates into a more profound and meaningful physical connection.

Create a Comfortable Environment

Setting the right mood can make a significant difference in the lovemaking experience. A comfortable, inviting environment helps partners relax and focus on each other. Consider soft lighting, calming music, or scented candles to create a soothing atmosphere that encourages relaxation and presence.

Practice Mindfulness

Mindfulness in lovemaking involves being fully present in the moment, paying attention to each sensation, and being attuned to your partner’s responses. This practice can deepen the connection and heighten pleasure, as both partners are more aware of and responsive to each other’s needs.

Explore and Experiment

Variety is the spice of life, and this holds true for lovemaking as well. Exploring new techniques, trying different settings, or incorporating elements of play can keep the experience exciting and fresh. It is essential to approach experimentation with an open mind and a sense of fun, ensuring that both partners are comfortable with any new activities.

Take Your Time

Rushing through lovemaking can diminish the experience. Taking the time to savor each moment, focusing on foreplay, and enjoying the journey rather than just the destination can lead to more fulfilling encounters. Slow, deliberate actions allow partners to fully engage with each other, enhancing intimacy and pleasure.

Focus on Mutual Pleasure

Enjoyable lovemaking is about mutual satisfaction. Paying attention to your partner’s cues and responses ensures that both individuals derive pleasure from the experience. This mutual focus fosters a sense of equality and partnership, enhancing the overall connection.

Embrace Vulnerability

Lovemaking is a vulnerable act, and embracing this vulnerability can bring partners closer together. Being open about insecurities or fears can strengthen trust and deepen the emotional bond. When partners support each other in their vulnerabilities, it creates a safe space for exploration and growth.

In conclusion, enjoyable lovemaking is a multifaceted experience that goes beyond physical pleasure. By prioritizing communication, emotional connection, and mutual satisfaction, couples can cultivate a rich and fulfilling intimate life. It is a journey of exploration and discovery, where each encounter offers an opportunity to deepen the bond and celebrate the unique connection between partners.

Questions You Should Ask Before Engaging in Sex

Engaging in sexual activity involves mutual consent, communication, and understanding. It's important to have open and honest discussions with your partner to ensure a consensual and comfortable experience. Here are some questions that you and your partner should ask each other:

What are your boundaries and limits regarding sexual activities? Are there any specific acts or behaviors that you are uncomfortable with or want to avoid?

Have you been tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and sexually transmitted infections (STIs)? Have you had yourself tested for STDs and STIs? What protection methods, such as condoms or dental dams, will you be using? Years ago, a doctor on a TV talk show said, “If you are having sex, you are participating in a high-risk behavior.”

What contraceptive methods are you using to prevent unintended pregnancies? Are you currently using any form of birth control?

Are you at ease discussing desires, preferences, and any concerns or fears? How will we both ensure ongoing communication during the experience?

Are you emotionally ready and willing to engage in sexual activity? Is there a level of trust and connection between us?

What type of relationship are you seeking? Are we both in agreement with expectations and intentions?

Remember, these questions are meant to be open and honest. Communicate in a respectful and non-pressure manner. Permission and ongoing talks are key aspects to a healthy and enjoyable sexual happening.♥

How to Let Loose Your Lovemaking Side

Discovering and embracing your intimate side is a personal journey that can be unique for each individual. Here are some general suggestions to help you set free your lovemaking side:

Understand your desires, fantasies, and preferences. Reflect on what excites you and what you are curious about. This self-awareness will provide a foundation for exploring your sexual side.

Open and honest communication is crucial, both with you and your partner or partners. Express your desires, boundaries, and interests respectfully. Effective communication can lead to a deeper understanding and connection with your own sexuality and with your partner(s).

Educate yourself about lovemaking. Read books, articles, or reputable online resources about sexual health, pleasure, and different aspects of human sexuality. Understanding your body, sexual response, and different sexual practices can help you explore your desires more confidently.

Self-pleasure is a healthy and natural way to explore your sexuality. Experiment with different techniques, fantasies, and types of stimulation that feel pleasurable to you. Pleasing yourself can help you understand your body and what brings you sexual satisfaction.

Consider exploring new experiences or activities that pique your interest. This can include trying new sexual positions, experimenting with different forms of stimulation, or engaging in role-play or BDSM (if consensual and within your comfort zone). Always prioritize consent and ensure that all activities are safe, sensible, and consensual.

Taking care of your overall well-being can positively influence your sexual side. This includes getting enough sleep, eating a well-balanced diet, exercising regularly, and managing stress. When you feel good physically and emotionally, it can enhance your sexual experiences.

If you are struggling with sexual issues, concerns, or trauma, consider seeking professional help from a therapist, counselor, or sex educator. They can provide guidance, support, and strategies to help you navigate your sexual journey.

Everyone’s lovemaking journey is unique. There is no right or wrong way. Always feel comfortable with sexual activities and respect your partner's boundaries.♥

Should You Have Sex on the First Date? By Miss Know It All

Image by Solen Feyissa from Pixabay

Miss Know It All
Many years ago, I was watching a talk show, and the subject matter was should you have sex on the first date. A guest on the show said he had asked a woman on their first date if she would have sex with him. Her answer was, “Will you respect me in the morning.” His answer was, “I don’t respect you now.” Wow, that was a punch in the gut. However, we were not facing a pandemic back then, but COVID-19 has changed all of that, as to how we date and engage in sex.

With the easing up of COVID-19 restrictions, what is in store for folks wanting to meet someone online for a date, thinking they may also get some nookie on the side? Well, brace yourself for the rude awakening because dating app Bumble surveyed roughly 1,000 Americans in May and 30% of them said they would not go on a date or have sex with someone who had not received the COVID-19 vaccination. Therefore, if you have skipped the shot so far, it could cost you the first date.

In 2014, Whitney Wolfe Herd founded Bumble, which also offers ways to meet friends and professionally network on its app. When Bumble Inc. went public in February of this year, Herd became the youngest self-made woman billionaire, according to Forbes. What makes Bumble unique is when two daters swipe right on the app, women are required to message first.

The app is also implementing new features to encourage people to get vaccinated. A "Vaccinated" badge, for example, launched this summer, will allow Bumble's US and UK users to indicate that they have received the vaccine on their profile and will offer complimentary credits for premium features to those who enable the "Vaccinated" badge. These will include giving them the Spotlight, which advances their profiles to the top of the stack, and SuperSwipe, which lets them indicate to a potential match that they stand out.

Bumble's research suggests the pandemic has dramatically altered social and sexual interactions. In the survey, commissioned by Bumble and carried out online in May by Censuswide, a research company, 91% of respondents said they believed there was no longer a stigma attached to meeting someone online or through a dating app since the pandemic began.

Here is an attention-grabbing footnote to consider. In another survey, conducted by Research Without Barriers in 2021, 62% of respondents said it was important for them to talk about key social issues on a first date, namely gender equality, politics, race, or the environment. In addition, 75% of respondents said they would only date someone if the majority of their political and social views matched.

Foods That Can Enhance Your Sex Life

With the holidays approaching, sex may or may not be the last act on your mind when shopping for gifts and planning festive dinners. It is a fact that certain foods can lead to a happy sex life. However, no two bodies are the same, so each partner may have different results when engaging in sex.

So, let us get this ball rolling, no pun intended, and lists the foods to eat before engaging in sex.

Avocado
- This creamy green fruit is loaded with heart-healthy fats and fiber that can deliver lasting energy in the bedroom. Avocado also has vitamin B6, which experts say can play a part to ease PMS symptoms like fatigue, bloating, and crankiness. All of that might help make it easier for women to get into a romantic mood. In Mexico, the fruit is considered an aphrodisiac. An old Aztec legend describes how young and beautiful maidens were kept in their rooms for protection during the height of the avocado season.

Chocolate - This is a no-brainer. Chocolate and romance go hand-in-hand. This sweet treat is linked with the release of serotonin, a hormone that encourages feelings of happiness and well-being. The mood boost that chocolate can bring may raise your sex drive, too. This indulgence also has many phenylethylamines, a brain chemical associated with lust and love.

Coffee or Tea
- These drinks deliver a dose of caffeine, which perks up your nervous system and help men perform better in the bedroom. Caffeine may lower your chances of erectile dysfunction, also. Coffee and tea also give you antioxidants that can help keep you healthy. Omit it close to bedtime. It could interfere with your sleep.

Fatty Fish
- Fish like salmon, sardines, and mackerel have plenty of omega-3s. These healthy fats ease inflammation in your body. That can help your sexual health.  If you are not a fan of seafood, you can also get omega-3s in flaxseed, chia seeds, and walnuts.

Maca - Native to the Peruvian mountains, the maca plant has been used for centuries to boost fertility. Today, research suggests that its root can improve sexual desire. Phytonutrients in the plant may raise sperm count and sexual function as well. Maca root is often sold as a powder. It has a nutty, earthy flavor. You can add it to your yogurt, smoothies, salads, soups, or baked goods.

Oysters
- are loaded with zinc, a mineral, which helps the body make the hormone testosterone and plays a role in your mood and sex drive. Zinc may also help men make more sperm. It might also help those sperm move better. If you are not a fan of shellfish, you can load up on other foods that are high in zinc, namely beef, pork, fortified cereal, pumpkin seeds, cashews, and yogurt.

Pomegranates - Throughout history, this fruit was a symbol of fertility and a sex enhancer. There may be some truths to these tales. Experts say that drinking pomegranate juice can boost your mood, improve your blood flow, and raise your testosterone levels. Those are all things that can turn up the flames in the bedroom.

Spinach - Not seen as a sexy vegetable, who knew this leafy green vegetable is a sex pick-me-up. However, it can increase your sex drive in many ways. Spinach is rich in magnesium, a mineral that can boost your testosterone. It also has iron, which can help desire, arousal, orgasm, and sexual satisfaction, particularly in women.

Strawberries
- Dipped in chocolate or topped with whipped cream, strawberries are a romantic favorite. They are high in vitamin C, which may help pep up your sex drive, boost blood flow, and ease stress and anxiety. It also helps your body release more of something called oxytocin, known as the “love” hormone because of its link to sexual arousal and orgasm.

Watermelon
- This juicy fruit serves up plenty of an amino acid called citrulline. Your body turns it into arginine, another amino acid that helps relax your blood vessels. That can get the blood pumping in your sex organs in the same way Viagra works to treat erectile dysfunction.

Dating During the Coronavirus Crisis by Miss Know It All

Miss Know It All
There is so much information, false information, and crazy rumors circulating on how we should protect ourselves during this crisis. And if you are dating or searching for love either online or in person, it is pertinent that you protect yourself and others by using common sense.

One of the most important methods to protect oneself is to wash your hands well and often after using the bathroom, touching surfaces, or handling food with soap and water for 20 seconds or longer, something we should have been doing long before this outbreak surfaced. And cover your mouth when sneezing, and coughing.

Before engaging in sexual intercourse, you should know your partner’s status. You are more at risk of getting STDs or HIV/AIDS than getting the Coronavirus if you are participating in this act indiscriminately. As a doctor once said on a TV talk show during the HIV/AIDs epidemic, “If you are having sex, you are participating in high-risk behavior.” So, no matter how well you may think you know your partner, or if you are just meeting someone for the first time and can’t control those lust demons, please encourage your partner to use a condom. If he refuses to use a condom, then walk away. #
