The coroner stood up and backed away from the car to give Ryan a clear view into the front seat.

 “Single bullet through the head.”

“Robbery?”

“Nope. His wallet is in his back pocket. Nearly a thousand bucks in cash.”

“That’s more than the balance in my savings account. Guess I should have been a titan of industry instead of a lowly crime fighter.” Ryan paused, wondering briefly what it would be like to have that much money in his wallet. He shrugged off the thought. “Suicide?”

“Nope. No gun. This snow is going to make the investigation a real bitch, isn’t it?”

“They’re never easy, are they?” Ryan removed his hat and peered into the car. “Jesus, what a mess.” The detective ran his fingers through his hair, set the hat back on his head, and gave the crown a sound tap as if to lodge it firmly in place. He slowly and carefully surveyed the area. Red and blue lights from patrol cars splashed across the snow as men and women in uniform, beneficiaries of the industry of homicide, went about their business. The corpses of those who died mysteriously meant job security for cops, coroners, lab techs.

Ryan was tired of it. He was tired of the death, tired of the greed. Tired of the dark side of humanity. Maybe retirement wasn’t such a bad idea after all.

Ryan reached into his pocket and, with as much thought as he gave breathing, popped the top off the antacid bottle that was always in his pocket, extracted two tablets, tossed them into his mouth, and chewed. He turned his attention back to Sommerville. “Who found the body?”

We have been in the dating business since 1986, which started out as a pen pal and introduction service through snail mail, and grew into a global service for people searching for love, romance, marriage and other activities on the World Wide Web.

Our mission has always been to bring people of all colors, ages (18+), ethnicities, religions and lifestyles together, whether it is for romance, dating, marriage, friendship or networking.

We have seen the challenges that men and women face when they meet someone, whether online or through traditional methods. Many begin to develop a relationship with that person, and eventually choose to take their relationship to the next level.

So we have decided to re-launch our T-shirt collection with non-offensive, humorous, and thought-provoking messages that will promote HIV/AIDS/STDs awareness and prevention, and draw attention to other diseases, such as breast cancer and colon cancer. It is hope that these messages will encourage people to be their own advocate when it comes to their health.

Why I wrote Forbidden Dance by Stella Eromonsere-Ajanaku

Many marriages are cracking, some are on the verge of falling off the cliff, and others have ended in separation and divorce.

It takes two people to make the marriage work. However, at some point in any marriage, only one person will seem to put in time, effort and passion. And at other times, it flips, until both parties realize they need each other to make their marriage bloom.

Like so many other women in her shoes, Alero Thomson from Forbidden Dance had given up hope on enjoying a loving marriage with her husband, Kyle. She was desperately unhappy and miserable.

Alero found a new lover, and a new life. But the new man was not the same man she tied the knot with at the altar.

Hope must be kept alive as long as we live because miracles still happen every day, just as it did for Alero and Kyle.

I wrote Forbidden Dance in the hope that many women who are on the verge of divorce would reconsider, and give their marriage another shot.

There was no point staring at his exotic features. He could wrap her round his handsome face anytime he liked. But she was over his charm.

Kyle’s eyes travelled straight to her fingers. “Your rings are gone.”

She splayed out her bare fingers. “I threw them in the drain where they belong.”

Her husband flinched. “You didn’t have to do that, Alero. I screwed things up pretty bad. But it is not over with us.”

A bitter grin spread across her face. “Us? There has been no us for a long time. I sat in your empty house in the hope you’ll come to your senses, instead-”

The silent communication in her eyes, the stillness of her body told me she knew I was hurting.

Her hand cupped the nape of my neck. “It’s okay, I’m here—I’m here,” she whispered as she kissed each tear on my cheek.

She slanted her mouth to capture mine and kissed me slowly as her hand curled around my body, pulling me against hers. I drew a breath and held it as her lips caressed my neck.

I was falling.

Deeply.

Unconditionally.

In love with her.

A chill swept across me as the warmth of her body left mine and she sat up, sliding off the t-shirt I had given her to wear to bed, then slid on top of me. Her deft fingers slipped beneath the waistband of my boxers, light kisses raining from her lips against my skin as she moved down my body, sliding my boxers off and throwing them to the side. She reached to the nightstand to grab a condom, when my hand stopped hers. I wanted to feel all of her—bare.

Her eyes blinked hard as I flipped her over and slid on top of her.

As our sleek bodies moved feverishly against each other, I held her tight, wanting to remember the smell of her hair, the touch of her skin, the taste of her lips. This was where I wanted to be, this was where I belonged, buried inside of her.

As we found our release together, her body fell limp against mine and I wrapped my arms around her, never wanting to let her go. I raised my head to look down at her and could see tears forming in her eyes and I knew for that moment, she was completely mine and I was hers. And I knew I was ruined, I would never feel the same way about another woman as I felt about Violet.  I kissed her softly on the lips.
